Ingrid and Mary both provided great support through my pregnancy. It helped me feel calm to know I had someone to call who could be there for me, since we had recently moved and I didn’t have much of a local support system. Both doulas offered great support checking in through my pregnancy. When I gave birth to my son, Ingrid was a calm, down to earth presence. Since it was my first baby, I felt it was important having someone experienced help me and my husband through the whole birth. He was able to support me and she was able to help give him guidance. I feel like I still am processing the whole thing a year later, but one thing that helped was having a planned follow up visit a couple weeks later with the doulas to talk the birth over and answer questions. I have 100 percent no regrets about having a doula and encourage all my friends to consider hiring one! Also, I had a natural birth in a hospital and our OB said that Ingrid was a really great doula and was very impressed with her. Ingrid, if you see this, thank you so much!

We had a great experience with Lacey and KOP Doulas. Our initial conversation with Lacey felt supportive and clarified our needs. Lacey made herself available for additional consultation after the baby was born that was incredibly helpful, and the agency was flexible as our needs changed.

Karla was both a Baby Whisperer and also a rock for us transitioning from one to two kids. From the beginning, she exuded warmth, confidence, and a combination of softness and strength that suited our family’s needs beautifully. Our baby felt comfortable with her from Day One, relaxing whenever Karla arrived. She definitely has that magic touch.

Karla made herself available to provide comfort and reassurance, especially on those rough days. She maintained her professionalism, even when I’m sure we were difficult at times during such a big life transition. She was also extremely understanding of our toddler, who transitioned from only child to big sister, and loved getting extra attention from Karla.

Karla has high emotional intelligence and is great at “reading the room” — aka, knowing when we were eager to chat, and when we needed quiet and privacy. She was reliable — always arriving on time, never canceling a shift, and kept good notes. She brings solid experience, insight, and knowledge of infant development, feeding and sleeping. We would work with her again in a heartbeat.

As I tell Lacey almost every time I see her, I don’t know how anyone goes through pregnancy and birth without a doula! I just delivered my 3rd baby with Lacey as my doula. All three deliveries were very different and Lacey proved to be just as irreplaceable each time! This 3rd birth, I planned to do it natural like the last two, but things went a little different than planned (as always!). My water started leaking and then within a couple hours there was meconium in my water (only knew this because of Lacey!). I ended up having to be induced and getting an epidural – complete opposite of my “plan”. Lacey was completely supportive the whole time no matter what decision I made, always talking through any questions I had.

To the support people out there – my husband was skeptical the first time and now he wouldn’t change it for the world! Lacey teaches your support people how to be the best support out there!

We had an incredible experience with King of Prussia Doulas for the second birth of our son. Amanda was with our son from his second week of life until three months old and her care for our family as a whole allowed us to relish in the joy of having a newborn while also getting crucial rest and peace of mind. Amanda’s support for our family was a gamechanger and I am not sure what we would have done without her. Lacey’s team is caring, professional and trustworthy. I would recommend KOP Doulas to anyone who is expecting a child.

After having a traumatic birth and recovery with my first child, we wanted to do everything possible to make our second experience different. King of Prussia Doulas, and specifically Amanda, made that more than possible! From the first contact, we felt supported and so much more at ease about giving birth again. Amanda has become an honorary family member! Our daughter decided to come 4 weeks early and to our relief, Amanda was able to change around our start date and be there for our first night home! It made a world of difference. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and overall the best! She not only supported our newborn but us as a couple and our one yr old son through his transition.
