Shakera and Dee were both extremely helpful in giving us a break. Shakera went out of her way to learn more about colic babies before arriving both times and was able to provide us great nights of sleep. Dee was very helpful by giving us tips and tricks to get a baby to nap during the day and now the baby sleeps very well. Will definitely be using KOP DOULAS again when needed. ~Erica and Will S.

Cali & Melissa were the dream additions to our birth support team. They catered their birth education to our specific pregnancy (second baby, attempting a VBAC), were both trauma informed and size-friendly in their approach, and made the repeat cesarean I ended up needing peaceful and positive. From the moment I called to learn about what a doula was to the moment I was delivering, Lacey and Mikeala were there for us. I spoke to Lacey just days before going into labor and signed the contact while I was in labor. Mikeala was at my house in no time and stayed with us through meeting our sweet baby. Working with Cali and Melissa was amazing. They were both so warm and knowledgeable. We felt very comfortable talking with them and turning to them for support and advice during the pregnancy, and especially during early labor. Cali attended the birth and was essential in terms of providing support so that we could have the experience that we wanted. My partner was able to rest because Cali was there supporting us. She also knew exactly what to do before we had to employ any unwanted interventions. If it weren’t for our doula, I think I may have ended up in a very different situation. I think Amanda’s encouragement, delivery of information in a very factual and non judgmental way, and overall view and passion for hypnotherapy was wonderful. Her voice and tone are great for the relaxation scripts. I felt even more encouraged and empowered to have a more natural birth than when I started the class and she allowed me to understand that my issues with my first birth were legitimate.
