Melissa was our doula for the birth of both of our children. I couldn’t have done it without her. Most recently, she was present for the birth of our daughter about a week ago. Her support and positive attitude were unwavering the entire labor. She is a wealth of knowledge and the best advocate that a mom in labor could ask for. She worked seamlessly with the medical staff. Overall we’re very pleased with KOP Doulas and would recommend them. We think of the services we paid for and received as insurance which we’re happy we had – knowing we had Doula support gave us peace of mind that if anything were to go wrong or a stronger advocate role would be needed we had it. We also received a lot of support and education prior to birth which was invaluable. Fortunately for us, we had a very low drama and “easy” birth (from our perspective) which will always be the more ideal scenario – we however had very little stress about the upcoming birth and felt confident going in knowing we had a doula and also thanks to the preparation and education they provided. ~Shannon K.

Shakera and Dee were both extremely helpful in giving us a break. Shakera went out of her way to learn more about colic babies before arriving both times and was able to provide us great nights of sleep. Dee was very helpful by giving us tips and tricks to get a baby to nap during the day and now the baby sleeps very well. Will definitely be using KOP DOULAS again when needed. ~Erica and Will S.

Cali & Melissa were the dream additions to our birth support team. They catered their birth education to our specific pregnancy (second baby, attempting a VBAC), were both trauma informed and size-friendly in their approach, and made the repeat cesarean I ended up needing peaceful and positive. From the moment I called to learn about what a doula was to the moment I was delivering, Lacey and Mikeala were there for us. I spoke to Lacey just days before going into labor and signed the contact while I was in labor. Mikeala was at my house in no time and stayed with us through meeting our sweet baby. The love, compassion, support, and confidence these women shared with me and my husband really did give me strength. You are in the BEST hands.
