I began reading about hypnobirthing on my own before discovering this class, and wasn’t feeling like I was getting much out of it. Taking this class was empowering and it really opened a door to hypnobirthing I don’t think I would have found otherwise. I have extensive experience with mindfulness practice and training, and was pleasantly surprised how much more this class added to what I already know and practice. I will definitely be using hypnobirthing techniques from this class during my labor and delivery!

As first time parents, my husband and I could not be more pleased and grateful for King of Prussia Doulas. Jalecia and Mikaela were our assigned doulas and both were invaluable in helping us shape our birth journey and empowering us with relevant information and research throughout. They both brought thoughtfulness and knowledge throughout my birth process. During birth, Jalecia was by our side continuously, advocating for my needs, helping provide helpful movement techniques and created a very calm environment. Jalecia felt like a true partner to us and brought a boost of confidence and optimism throughout our journey.

King of Prussia Doula‘s far surpassed our expectations! We learned so much about birth and feeding through their services, from experienced professionals. We felt empowered by the education we received, and like we would always have someone in our corner who knew what the options were. Our doula Melissa was personable, compassionate, and so knowledgeable. It is her voice that I hear when I think back to being in the trenches of my labor. She was strong, and kind. She had all the encouraging words and an awesome bag of tricks to help me get from one moment to the next when each second felt like a million years. We also had much needed support before and after delivery. There were several days leading up to our birth that we had questions, Melissa and Cali were both a text away and were always very informative and encouraging. We were thrilled with our experience and if we are lucky enough to have another opportunity, we plan to work with KOP doulas again.

I could not be more satisfied and grateful for King of Prussia Doulas. Jalecia and Mikaela were my assigned doulas. Both were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum journeys. The ability to offer references and discuss options thoroughly while allowing me to make decisions completely judgement free was such a relief. Although, I ended up needed an induction and delivered at a hospital surrounded by very kind and educated nurses and doctors, it was invaluable to have Jalecia by my side during birth to advocate for me and help me have the birth I wanted. I felt in control at all times and insanely supported. This support continued after birth as well as I had lots of first time mommy questions.

My husband and I had an incredible experience with Laura!  We had our first interaction with Laura when we took her birthing and newborn care classes through KOP Doulas.  We loved the course and walked away with not only a thick packet of resources that we frequently refer back to, but more confidence as first time parents.

After these courses we were informed that our hospital was allowing doulas in the hospital again and we were very excited to hire and work with Laura during the last month or so of my pregnancy.  Laura was wonderfully attentive, texted me daily to see how I was feeling and answered any questions I might have.  Being a first time mom can be nerve wracking and I found it so comforting having a person who I could ask all of my questions to who not only provided me with information but also articles, podcasts to listen to, and research to back up her advice.

During labor Laura was absolutely invaluable to us.  She helped me make the most of every contraction, moving me in different positions to help get my baby down and out quickly and safely.  I had not planned to have an epidural but after an hour or two of intense back labor I finally had to make the decision to have an epidural.  I wasn’t sure how much Laura would be able to help me once I was stuck in the hospital bed, but she continued to have me work with the contractions by moving me into a few different epidural-safe positions.  Laura had spent so much time getting to know me and what I wanted out of this birth experience that even after I had changed the plan she supported me and helped me have an extremely positive experience.

To anyone looking for doula services I highly recommend Laura.  She is knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and even after giving birth she continues to be a person I can reach out to with questions.  We will 100% be hiring her to help us deliver all of our future babies!
