Working with Mary & KOPD was an absolute game changer. We turned to the support of a doula after a tough birth experience with our first. There is a large age gap between the two, so I wanted to feel supported and more present, less anxious this time around. Mary’s presence and personality was very calming, and her knowledge and experience shined. My fiancé also felt better knowing that we had an ally and advocate to be there with us to make decisions in a hectic time. My induction didn’t go as planned, or as smoothly as I had hoped. So to have Mary there quite literally hands on changed the experience entirely. We are forever grateful to have had her and thankful for KOPD.

I had an absolutely amazing experience! My doulas were so nice and knowledgeable. I instantly trusted and felt comfortable with them. They helped me be a better mom to all 3 of my children because I was able to get the rest I so desperately needed without worrying about who was watching my baby.

Genevieve and Danielle were simply incredible through the entire pregnancy, labor, and delivery process. Empathetic, patient, supportive, loving, kind, positive, knowledgeable, nurturing, flexible and so much more. I felt so comfortable with them and there was no judgment. My husband and I are forever grateful. We feel we could not have done it without them. We hope to be able to work with them again if we have more children in the future.

KOP Doulas turned out to be one of the most crucial components of my birth experience and first few postpartum months. Giovanni was our birth doula and supported my husband and I through the entire stressful induction process, 2 hours of pushing, and then an unplanned c-section. Giovanni was in the OR with me and I don’t know how I could have gotten through it without her.

Danielle was our daytime doula and brought her lactation / breastfeeding expertise and helped me navigate those first several weeks of figuring it all out. She also taught us practical tips for getting our baby to nap, give her a bath, baby massage; and so much more. She was indispensable and allowed us to have some important breaks during the day.

Becca was our nighttime doula and I always left her knowing my daughter was in the best care and I could sleep easily. She has a very calming energy and I think our baby responded to that, since she always slept great when Becca was here.

Our daughter became ill with RSV at 2 weeks old and we spent 5 nights in the hospital with her. My wife and I were nervous coming home and were exhausted. We were referred to KOP Doulas which we decided to use – we called them on a Friday and they were able to get us a doula by Sunday which was amazing. We had two doulas, and they were both great! We were able to catch up on sleep but more importantly, our daughter was watched over and taken care of all night. My wife and I decided to keep them on 1 night a week so we could sleep – it was a great decision! Thank you very much.
